We also take great care to improve their energy efficiency and use renewable energy sources whenever possible, minimising Ireland’s overall housing carbon footprint while giving those in temporary accommodation a chance to live in a stable environment that they can safely call home long into the future.

Ireland used to boast one of the highest rates of home-ownership in the world but a shortage of social and affordable housing amongst other factors has led to alarming rates of homelessness and very difficult prospects for the country’s younger generations wishing to buy a property.
With so many of the country’s population unable to buy and pushed into the private rental market, there is tough competition with a large workforce on high salaries from international tech giants that have taken up residence in Ireland and rental rates have soared beyond the reach of lower income earners, forcing many onto the streets and into temporary accommodation.

The Stability to Thrive
Emergency and Temporary accommodation can provide those who have found themselves homeless with the stability and support to develop new skills and find employment.
Temporary Accommodation is focused on helping people develop the emotional and practical skills needed to move into more long-term housing. This can include support with health, including mental wellbeing, drug and alcohol use, managing benefits and debt, developing daily living skills and accessing education, training and employment.
Not only do we provide warmth and shelter but we also provide a valuable opportunity to break the cycle of homelessness and give people the chance to truly make a new start.
